Titans 0-4 After Ravens Loss, Saleh Backs Ward

The Tennessee Titans fell to 0-4 after a 24-18 loss to Baltimore, with turnovers, penalties and failed red-zone drives continuing to undermine the team. Coach Robert Saleh said Cam Ward played his best game of the season, pointing to his passing, scrambling and ability to make plays under pressure, while acknowledging Ward’s costly early interception and room for growth. A failed fourth-down run near the goal line helped swing momentum to the Ravens; Saleh defended the game plan and said the choice was not driven by a lack of confidence in Ward. Tennessee’s defense kept Baltimore to 2-for-10 on third down and has been a relative strength, but Saleh said the team must limit mistakes and capitalize on scoring chances before it can turn its performance into wins.
