The reigning Defensive Player of the Year had been limited by the injury during training camp and was ineffective in the Rams’ 27-7 season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers, recording no tackles or pressures. Garrett is expected to miss games against the New York Giants, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills, with Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals representing his earliest possible return. The injury is a major setback for Los Angeles after acquiring Garrett from Cleveland in a blockbuster offseason trade that sent Jared Verse and three future draft picks to the Browns.
