Cookie Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used across IJR.ai, open.ijr.ai, and the IJR product subdomains. We keep the list short and first-party: no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember you between pages and visits — keeping you signed in, remembering a choice you made, or measuring which features get used. We also use browser local storage for some of the same purposes; this policy covers those technologies too.
2. Cookies We Use
Essential cookies make the Services work — sign-in, security, and access control; they cannot be switched off. Attribution cookies record how you arrived so marketing channels and Earn partners can be credited. Analytics cookies help us understand product usage. Our page-view analytics (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clerk session (__session, __client, …) | Keeps you signed in and secures your session. Set by our authentication provider, Clerk. | Session to 1 year | Essential |
| ijr_guest | Anonymous identifier for signed-out visitors, used only to apply fair-use rate limits to the guest experience. | 90 days | Essential |
| sb_oauth | Short-lived state token that protects the account-connection (OAuth) flow against forgery. Removed as soon as the flow completes. | 10 minutes | Essential |
| Drive share access | Remembers that you entered the correct passcode for a passcode-protected shared document. | 30 days | Essential |
| ijr_attrib | First-touch marketing attribution: records the campaign parameters (UTM tags, referrer, landing page) of your first visit so we know which channel brought you here. Never overwritten by later visits. | 90 days | Attribution |
| ijr_earn_click | Records that you arrived via an Earn partner link so the partner can be credited if you sign up or purchase. | Campaign attribution window (typically 30 days) | Attribution |
| PostHog (ph_*) | Product analytics: which pages and features are used, so we can improve the Services. Stored in a first-party cookie and local storage. | Up to 1 year | Analytics |
3. Managing Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and other core features. Attribution and analytics cookies are not required for the Services to function — clearing them simply resets attribution and usage measurement. Because we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, the Services do not respond differently to “Do Not Track” signals; there is no tracking to opt out of beyond what is described here.
4. Changes to This Policy
If we add or change cookies in a material way, we will update this page and the “Effective date” above. Significant changes will be flagged with a prominent notice within the Services.
