Falcons spoil Saints' Domecoming anniversary with 45-24 victory
The Atlanta Falcons beat the New Orleans Saints 45-24 on Monday night, spoiling celebrations marking 20 years since the Superdome reopened after Hurricane Katrina. Bijan Robinson rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns, including a 59-yard score on Atlanta’s opening drive, while Brian Robinson Jr. added three rushing touchdowns. Michael Penix Jr. threw for 223 yards and a touchdown, and Saints quarterback Tyler Shough passed for 286 yards and a late score; Alvin Kamara scored twice for New Orleans. Atlanta outgained New Orleans 207-50 on the ground. The Falcons improved to 2-2, while the Saints fell to 1-3 after losing a fumble and failing to establish their running game.
