Ravens Acquire Pro Bowler Cam Jurgens from Eagles in Draft Pick Swap
The Philadelphia Eagles traded two-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman Cam Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick, the teams announced Wednesday. Jurgens, 27, signed a four-year, $68 million extension in 2025 and is under contract through 2029. A 2022 second-round pick, he helped Philadelphia win Super Bowl LIX. Jurgens entered the NFL concussion protocol Monday after self-reporting symptoms. He played all 61 offensive snaps in the Eagles' 24-20 loss to the Rams on Sunday and spoke to reporters afterward. The trade followed Lane Johnson's retirement announcement Tuesday after 14 seasons; Johnson was a late scratch for that Rams game. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said the club has long admired Jurgens and called him a young foundational piece and great scheme and cultural fit who will contribute quickly in Baltimore. Baltimore has had center injuries after Tyler Linderbaum left in free agency, with Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic on injured reserve. Philadelphia had moved Jurgens to guard with Landon Dickerson hurt and is expected to use Willie Lampkin. Jurgens' immediate availability is uncertain while he remains in protocol. No material dispute on the trade terms appears in the record.
