Malcolm Koonce sacked Tyler Shough as he started his throwing motion; the ball was ruled a fumble recovered by the Raiders and upheld after video review. Six plays later Kirk Cousins threw a 4-yard touchdown to Cody White to make it 28-27. Cousins passed for 248 yards and three touchdowns, adding a 4-yard score to Brock Bowers that gave Las Vegas an eight-point lead, and the Raiders won 35-27 to reach 3-0 while the Saints fell to 1-2 with four turnovers. Shough said, "I thought my arm was going forward." He added, "I'm not exactly sure on the rule. It doesn't really matter. I've got to get it out sooner, regardless." Boos came from the Superdome stands and Kellen Moore gestured with arms out and palms up. The play was compared to a Week 1 call at Detroit when an apparent Saints strip-sack of Jared Goff was ruled incomplete. Koonce said, "I just assumed it was a strip-sack. We just got a little bit of momentum and started balling." Moore said, "Turnovers in the fourth quarter got us and we weren't able to overcome those. Those guys finished better than us. We had our opportunities and we didn't get it done."
