Protesters Disrupt Trump’s Paxton Rally in San Antonio
President Donald Trump was repeatedly interrupted by protesters at a Wednesday rally in San Antonio for Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton. Several protesters were escorted or forcibly removed by police or security. The first protester was involved in a physical altercation with an attendee. Other confrontations between supporters and demonstrators occurred during the removals. Trump mocked some protesters. He accused them, without evidence, of being paid by "enemies of our nation." The crowd booed the demonstrators and, according to one account, chanted support for Trump. Accounts differed on the number of interruptions. One report said at least 10 people were ejected or appeared to leave. The exact number of interruptions and ejections was not settled. Protester identities, injuries, and any charges were not reported.
