Pirates-Sundowns MTN8 Final Sells Out

Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns will meet in the sold-out MTN8 final at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on October 10, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. and the winner taking home R10 million. Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou said his team had focused on the final during roughly two weeks of preparation, despite some players being away on international duty, and aims to defend the trophy. Pirates have beaten Sundowns in the teams’ last two MTN8 finals, while Sundowns will draw confidence from a 2-1 league win in their most recent meeting; the Pretoria side has won the competition once in the past 18 years.
