Columbus Day Closures Expected, Trash Pickup Delayed

Government offices and services in several communities will operate on modified schedules for the Columbus Day holiday. Little Rock will continue enforcing metered and timed parking, including airport meters, while Wilkes-Barre City Hall and some waste collection services will be closed or delayed. A courthouse will be closed to in-person visitors, though its clerk’s office will remain available by phone and email and electronic filings will continue to be monitored. Another Department of Public Works says trash and recycling collections will be delayed by one day for the holiday week.
