VEON’s Banglalink has launched Starlink-powered satellite-to-mobile service in Bangladesh, the first deployment of the technology in South Asia. Customers with a 4G phone and Banglalink SIM can access essential apps and location services beyond conventional network coverage through the MyBL app; availability through RYZE is planned. VEON says the service can help maintain connectivity during emergencies, natural disasters and power outages. The rollout follows similar VEON deployments in Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
