Zack Wheeler struck out 11 batters, including a franchise-record seven consecutive strikeouts to open the game, while Brandon Marsh homered, doubled and drove in three runs. Bryson Stott hit the go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning, and a throwing error deflected off Alec Bohm to allow two runs to score and put Philadelphia ahead. Jhoan Duran recorded his 33rd save. Despite the loss, Milwaukee clinched a wild-card bye and home-field advantage in the NL Division Series after Atlanta lost to Cincinnati.
