LJ Cason Transfers to Miami; May Play Part Season
LJ Cason, a Florida-born guard who averaged 8.4 points for Michigan before an ACL tear, has transferred to Miami. He will join a Hurricanes program that finished 26-9 and reached the Round of 32. Initially, Cason planned to redshirt the 2026-27 season, but the NCAA's five-year clock could allow him to participate for part of the year if he recovers. The move also reflects Miami's ongoing roster overhaul as it builds its top transfers. Cason followed Dusty May's coaching path from Michigan to the Mavericks earlier in the offseason, and is returning to his home state. Miami's staff is aiming to add depth as it rebuilds the backcourt.
