Kuminga Appears to Threaten Fan Over Nickname

A video circulating online shows Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jonathan Kuminga responding angrily after a fan called him by a vulgar nickname as he left the arena. Kuminga said he would find and slap whoever shouted it, while continuing to walk away. The exchange followed Minnesota’s preseason loss to Indiana, in which Kuminga scored two points on 1-for-9 shooting. The fan later said the remark was a joke and expressed continued support for Kuminga; the player had not publicly commented on the clip.
