Universal Pictures Content Group and Bleecker Street's Crosswalk have acquired international and North American rights, respectively, to George Michael: The Faith Tour, a concert film built around unseen footage from the 1988 Paris-Bercy leg of the Faith Tour. Directed by Andy Morahan and David Austin, the film will be released worldwide in late 2026 in premium formats, with exclusive IMAX early screenings planned in the United States. The archival project uses a 14-camera 35mm shoot over two nights to create a cinematic event and audio experience, opening with the short Finding Faith featuring Michael’s voiceover and behind-the-scenes imagery from Herb Ritts. Produced by George Michael Entertainment and Globe Originals in partnership with Mercury Studios, the release will be accompanied by an 18-track live album of unreleased performances spanning Michael’s Wham! and solo catalogs. The deal was negotiated by Helen Parker for Universal and Avy Eschenasy for Bleecker Street, with Parker praising Michael’s electrifying stage presence and enduring audience connection. This acquisition follows a multi-territory rollout plan, positioning the film for a broad international release in theaters and premium formats.
