Dolly Parton nephew accuses manager of bad faith after security firing

Dolly Parton’s estate obtained a temporary restraining order against her nephew Bryan Seaver and his security firm, barring him from estate property and directing him to stay away from employees and business partners; a hearing is scheduled for October 7. Seaver, who led Parton’s security operation for more than 20 years, was dismissed after the estate alleged he threatened violence, sought money and threatened damage to Parton’s brand and business relationships. The estate says the communications prompted staff resignations and additional security measures, while Seaver denies making threats and says his private remarks were taken out of context, including a “killer” comment he says was a joke shared with Parton. Parton’s sisters Freida and Stella rejected reports of a family feud, saying relatives are not fighting over the estate and are grieving and moving forward.
