Amanda Seyfried, Thomas Sadoski Confirm Separation After Nine Years
Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski confirmed in a joint statement to PEOPLE, dated Sept. 15, 2026, that they have separated after nine years of marriage. They said they had been living apart for some time and that the step had proved the right choice for them and their families. They will always stand by each other, and their relationship remains very good. The same day, Seyfried posted an Instagram photo of Sadoski sitting with a pet lizard on his shoulder. The couple met in 2015 in the Off-Broadway play The Way We Get By, reunited later that year filming The Last Word as love interests, and were confirmed dating in March 2016. They eloped privately in March 2017. Seyfried said they took off into the country with an officiant, just the two of them, and called it beautiful and everything it should be. Daughter Nina was born days after the wedding; son Thomas Jr. was born in September 2020. What is contested: Outlets ran two slightly different versions of the joint statement. STARNEWS via PEOPLE quoted living apart, the right choice for both and their families, standing by each other for life, and a very good relationship. Times of India via PEOPLE quoted separated for a while, the right move for the family unit, and We've got each other forever—and it's GOOD. What remains unresolved is whether either has filed for divorce.
