Lil Durk Acquitted on All Murder-for-Hire Charges

A federal jury in Los Angeles acquitted Grammy-winning Chicago rapper Lil Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, on all five counts in a murder-for-hire case tied to the 2022 shooting death of Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, whom prosecutors said was mistakenly killed while the attackers targeted rival rapper Quando Rondo. Prosecutors alleged Durk sought revenge for the 2020 killing of his associate King Von, but jurors found him not guilty after three days of deliberations, sparing him a potential life sentence. Co-defendants Deandre Wilson and David Lindsey were acquitted of murder-for-hire charges but convicted of stalking-related offenses. Durk remains in federal custody pending a separate racketeering and firearms trial scheduled for Oct. 5, in which prosecutors allege his Only the Family label operated as a violent criminal enterprise.
