Enablence Closes C$25 Million Chip-Capacity Investment

Enablence Technologies has closed a C$25 million strategic private placement with Collingwood Investments, issuing 3,226,000 shares at C$7.75 each. The company plans to use the proceeds to expand fabrication capacity at its Silicon Valley and Vietnam facilities, support working capital as sales grow, and fund general corporate needs. Enablence makes planar lightwave circuit optical chips used in high-speed datacom, telecom, AI data centers, automotive, and advanced-vision applications, including wavelength-management components for optical links. The investment gives Collingwood pre-emptive and top-up rights in future equity offerings, while the transaction remains subject to final TSX Venture Exchange acceptance. The financing reflects confidence in demand for non-Chinese optical-chip supply, though its success will depend on whether expanded capacity leads to additional orders and sustained revenue growth.
