CBS Develops Detective Drama With Scott Bakula

Scott Bakula is set to star in and executive-produce an untitled high-concept detective procedural in early development at CBS, set in Los Angeles. Michael Sussman, a writer-producer on Star Trek: Enterprise and co-creator of Perception, will write and executive-produce the project, which comes from Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment. Bakula’s character is described as a significant “leap” from Dwayne Pride, whom he played for seven seasons on NCIS: New Orleans; no further plot or character details have been announced. The project would be Electric Entertainment’s first broadcast series, and it has not yet moved beyond development.
