CBI Finds No Evidence Linking Mukhiya NEET-UG 2024 Paper
The Central Bureau of Investigation has said there is no evidence linking Sanjeev Kumar alias Sanjeev Mukhiya to the theft or distribution of the NEET-UG 2024 question paper after a detailed probe. Initial suspicions arose because he was believed to be involved in other paper leak cases, leading Bihar Police to name him as an accused in the FIR. The CBI transferred the case and subsequently identified all individuals involved in the theft and distribution, with charges filed against 45 accused in Patna courts. The agency stated that Mukhiya remained absconding during the relevant period, was arrested by Bihar Police in connection with other cases, but no charge sheet was filed against him in the NEET-UG case and he obtained bail. The CBI emphasized that its investigation identified the entire conspiracy and ensured that no one implicated in the NEET-UG 2024 theft escaped accountability.
