Browns Place DT Maliek Collins On PUP
The Browns placed defensive tackle Maliek Collins on the active/physically unable to perform list to start training camp as he continues to recover from a torn quad that required surgery last season. Collins, 31, signed a two-year, $20 million contract in 2025 and posted a career-high 6.5 sacks in 12 games last season. He must pass a physical to begin practicing, with activation possible at any time. Coach Todd Monken had indicated he wouldn’t be ready for the start of camp, and Collins is expected to be the only Browns player on PUP. Cleveland’s interior line will rely on youngsters like Mason Graham and Mike Hall, with Jared Verse joining after the Garrett trade to bolster pressure. Veterans report July 28 and the first full-squad practice is July 29.
