Bexar County Voter Site Restored After Registration-Deadline Outage
Bexar County’s election website went down for at least an hour Monday, the final day to register for the November election, disrupting access to registration and voter-status services. The county said its vendor restored the site, but officials did not identify the cause; the elections department extended its hours to 7 p.m. to assist residents. The outage came as the department was working through a backlog after receiving 45,000 voter-registration applications from the Texas Department of Public Safety in late September, and officials said they were expanding operations to process them before early voting begins.
