Texas AG Paxton backs Cunningham in WNBA debate

Texas AG Ken Paxton said he is concerned about how the WNBA has handled supporters of Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham and is watching the issue for fairness, while noting Texas laws protect against transgender participation in women’s sports and insisting he hopes improvements are made. He attended the Fever–Wings game with his daughter, wore XX-XY shirts, and said he's 'looking at it' for possible involvement, amid incidents of fans being asked to cover shirts and the league apologizing for a past incident.
