David Sherrod Brandon is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for 11 seasons for four teams in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 1987 NFL draft. He was a 1986 2nd Team All-South Independent selection.

His oldest son Xzavian Brandon was a wide receiver at Minnesota and New Mexico State.
His youngest son Solomon Brandon is currently a defensive end at Gardner-Webb University.
