Count Carl Johan Gustaf Snoilsky was a Swedish diplomat and lyricist of probable Slovene descent. He was regarded as an early realist. and was a member of the Swedish Academy. His life and work influenced playwright Henrik Ibsen, particularly in Rosmersholm.
