About Thomas Dent, Sr.
Colonel Thomas Dent was an English-born colonial justice, sheriff, militia officer, and politician who served as Member of the Lower House of the Maryland General Assembly in 1669, and again from 1674 to 1675. He was also the father-in-law of Thomas Brooke Jr., who served as the acting colonial governor of Maryland.
