About George Hancock
George Hancock was an English-born American architect based in Fargo, North Dakota, beginning in 1882. From 1891 until his death he worked in partnership with his brother, Walter B. Hancock under the name Hancock Brothers. Independently and with his brother he completed works in North Dakota, Montana and Minnesota. He was an important figure in the professionalization of architectural practice in North Dakota.
