About Dorothy Garrod
Dorothy Annie Elizabeth Garrod was an English archaeologist who specialised in the Palaeolithic period. Appointed as the Disney Professor of Archaeology from 1939 to 1952, Garrod was the first woman to hold a chair at the University of Cambridge.
