Akums plans acquisition of Oriflame India's manufacturing assets

Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals will acquire Oriflame India's manufacturing business for ₹56 crore through its subsidiary Pure and Cure Healthcare, gaining two plants in Roorkee and Noida plus a Noida warehouse and immediate capacity to produce skincare, haircare, and color cosmetics as it diversifies beyond pharmaceutical manufacturing, with completion expected by August 31, 2026. The move signals a strategic shift into the fast-growing beauty and personal care sector and could open opportunities for both domestic and export opportunities leveraging Halal certifications and European machinery.
