AMD-Anthropic deal to deploy 2 GW AI compute

AMD and Anthropic unveiled a deal worth up to $5 billion in equity from AMD in exchange for tens of billions of dollars of AMD’s AI server chips, enabling as much as 2 gigawatts of compute capacity with the first gigawatt online in the first half of 2027.
