Firouzja Wins Chennai Grand Masters, Reenters Top Ten

Alireza Firouzja won the 2026 Chennai Grand Masters, finishing unbeaten with 4.5/7 after a final-round draw with Arjun Erigaisi to seal the title. Nodirbek Abdusattorov finished strong but fell to second on tiebreaks behind Dmitry Andreikin, while Gukesh’s slump continued as Erigaisi contends for runner-up status and Indian contenders remain in the frame.
